BEFORE YOU ORDER

DELIVERY TIME
All Flama surfboards are handmade one by one, and we don’t make mass production –all come with its serial number–. That is why we allow a period of 8/10 weeks to make your surfboard, a bit less in case of blanks. Once we start with your board, we'll be sending you pictures of the whole process so you can follow how your board is being made.

FIN CONFIGURATION
Choose your preferred fin configuration: removable (FCS plugs or fin box) or fixed bamboo ply. In the case of bamboo ply fins for finished surfboards, they don't come installed in order to prevent possible damage during transport. Installing the fins is an easy work: you'll just have to embed the fin firmly in the slit and glue it with either poliester or epoxy resin.

SHAPE SPECIFICATIONS
Let us know your preferred shape specs: concaves, tail shape or whatever details you want for your board. It will not entail a price increase unless we let you know.

DECORATION
All boards come with the Flama logo pyrographed and treated with clear varnish, but it's possible to decorate or personalize the board with dye, pyrography drawings and other techniques. Let us know your ideas and we'll see if it fits in the "decoration" option. Also, it's possible to decorate the board yourself –or by an artist you know: we can ship the board with only a base coat aplied (wood preserver), compatible with dye, acrylic, Poska or many other techniques. The finish treatment can be done with an uncolored satin varnish for outdoor parquet flooring (any of the products available in the market should do well).

DIY BLANKS
Every surfboard blank is designed for a specific shape or model, so there are certain shaping limitations. Each blank comes with its own shaping template, which allows you to control in every moment and in every corner of the board, how far down you can sand. The tools and shaping process is quite similar to foam shaping, with the difference that when the shape is finished you only need to apply a few coats of varnish. Know more about how it's done here.

SHIPPING OUTSIDE EU
We discard overseas shipping due to the expensive customs rates. Anyway, if you're super amped and want a Flama surfboard no matter the price, just lets us know and we'll study the best way to make the shipping. Also let us know if you're interested in getting two or more boards, since in this case shipping prices do not vary that much and it can be much affordable.

CUSTOM ORDERS
If you're interested in one of our models but you'd like a different size, just let us know.

We like it very short, so we chopped the nose of the Cranc model. It's an ultra fast toy, very maneuverable and super fun in any conditions. You can even ride it in overhead+ surf and know what 'need for speed' means.

Taking a Steve Lis template, with the standard issues of a Lis fish from 1970/1971. Recently we added a slight belly under the nose, to give more paddling power and better projection after turns. Super fast planing machine. We keep it a bit heavier than it could be, because it gives more projection and power in turns. It's meant to be ridden in long pointbreaks, but you'll be superstoked in crappy tiny conditions too.

It takes some time to get used to the minisimmons concept, it's a whole different way of riding. The Bou wants to make the thruster-to-simmons transition smoother. It keeps the same minisimmons hydrodynamic concepts, while the wings, tail and fin configuration make the board loose and responsive.

Surprisingly easy board to ride, it goes anywhere you want her to go. Hullish inspiration, it paddles great and gets so easy into the wave. It also feels like a fish, but easier to turn thanks to the fin setup. Inspired in the Hobie's Zipper model.

Minisimmons boards are fast, so fast that you can have trouble trying to slow them down to get into the tube. With that in mind, we modified the 5'8 Cranc: we added a fish tail to get more dragg and bite; a pointier nose for critical take offs; and a narrower, more straightened outline.  Two in one: the best from the simmons, and the best from the fish!

Finless surfing is fun but it can get a bit frustrating. Here we wanted to make an almost-finless board but with some extra grab: you can still slide but with more control and extra drive thanks to its crazy concaved bottom. And to give it another twist we designed the board based on the Golden section, just like Mother Nature does.

Swallowtail variation of the Golden Slider with simpler bottom contours. It has shallower keels with wider base to favor boardslide and 360s, while mantaining enough hold for forward trim. It's also been designed under the Golden proportion rules to keep in tune with Mother Nature. This boards should be ridden very short.

High performance oriented shorboard with a lot of curve and nice tail rocker to stick to the pocket and go for vertical off-the-tops. Better from knee to head high waves, specially good in hollow surf. It can be shaped according to your own specs.

High performance interpretation of our Classic minisimmons Cranc. Super fast planing vehicle thanks to its width, yet very maneuverable due to the not so wide tail. A perfect small wave catcher. A finless experiment that borrows the outline of the LlamantoClassic and takes it to a whole new dimension. Everything is extreme here: multi channeled bottom, 60/40 rails like the ones used in bodyboards (why not?), and flute rail channel at the tail's end to increase bite. A crazy horse to ride only for the surf freak.

BOARD IN STOCK! Straightened version of the CalamarEvolve model for bigger waves. It can be ridden single, 2+1 or as a twin with a tiny trailer. It's got a ni V entry for easy paddling and sharp rails in the tail to hold firmly in hollow faces.

The Calamar is the parfect all-around board for the everyday surf or to take on a trip. A well balanced and basic outline that works in both weak or hollow waves, paddles like a retro board but performs like a shortboard. It also allows for different fin configurations to add more fun to the pack. A must have board.
